Razor 8

Razor 8 is a fairly inexpensive diet supplement at $16 per bottle.  It claims to help suppress your appetite and to help you burn that extra fat.  The question is does it work?

Pros

The main unique ingredient we are looking at with Razor 8 is Clary Sage (salvia sclarea) extract, which is known to be an effective aid in burning fat as causes the body to rely more on fat cells for energy.  The other ingredients included in Razor 8 are all pretty basic.

I am happy to see ingredients like Green Tea Powder, White Willow Powder, and Ginseng, all of which are welcome additions to a good supplement.

Cons

The overall concentration of the mix is a bit weak.  That is, the individual concentrations of each of these ingredients appears to be too low to make a significant difference for you.

In general, the company and the official website do little to describe what each of these ingredients will do for you or cite any scientific evidence regarding their effectiveness.  Therefore I can only tell you that if you are looking to invest in some Razor 8, you will be buying yourself a pretty-colored bottle of uncertainty.

Conclusion

I do not recommend Razor 8 for its lack of information and scientific evidence as well as the low concentrations of its key ingredients.  It’s not a bad mix for a diet supplement, but there is little information to say it’s reliable and simply cannot be the best out there.

Meridia

Meridia

Meridia (sibutramine HCL monohydrate) is a prescription weight-loss medication developed by Abbott Laboratories and marketed internationally.

Does Meridia Work?

Being an FDA approved prescription product, there is obviously a lot of research behind sibutramine.  Studies have shown it to be an effective appetite suppressant by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine in the brain.   However, the effects are marginal and are meant to be included in a carefully balanced exercise and diet program.

Meridia Side Effects

Common ones include…

  • Dry mouth
  • Increased appetite
  • Nausea
  • Strange taste in the mouth
  • Sexual impotence

Other health concerns have been raised and research is ongoing, looking into reports of sudden death, renal failure, and heart failure.

Meridia Pros

  • FDA approved

Meridia Cons

  • Pretty serious health risks
  • Prescription hassle
  • High Cost

Meridia Conclusion

Given the serious health concerns related to Meridia and the pain of getting a prescription, I would not recommend that this be the first product you try.  There are much safer and likely more effective options out there and just because the product is FDA approved does not mean it is the best.

Slim Tea

Slim Tea

slimtea.jpg

Slim Tea is a weight loss beverage that claims to improve digestion and increase metabolism. Slim Tea makes no promises to guarantee weight loss but some testimonials claim it works. This overveiw will give a description of the product, outline strengths and weaknesses and give an overall recommendation. Slim Tea seems to induce diarrhea rather than “sooth and calm nerves” after a meal.

Slim Tea says its a “healthy alternative for weight loss.” Slim Tea comes in original or ultra tea formulas. Oolong Tea leaves is the big ingredient and works to increase digestion. Users are recommended to drink Slim Tea after each meal to “naturally” speed up digestion. But based on testimonials, this “natural” digestion gives the user diarrhea. This is simply an expensive laxative. Slim Tea costs $11-$17 for 60 tea bags.

Pros:

  • Improves digestion.
  • Utilizes natural ingredients.
  • Easily available online

Cons:

  • Gives users diarrhea.
  • Weight loss may be temporary

Conclusion

Slim Tea causes diarrhea, which is not a healthy form ofweight loss. Slim Tea definitely speeds up digestion after a meal, but this is not a healthy diet plan. It is just sending everything strait through you with out absorbing vital nutrients. This product could leave you dehydrated and malnutritioned. While Slim Tea is cheap, users should look for better, more permanent alternativesto weight loss.

Lida Daidaihua Slimming Capsules Review

What are Lida Daidaihua Slimming Capsules?

“Lida Dali” is a weight loss supplement made from Chinese herbs.  Their big claim is that you will lose 30 lbs. and suffer no negative side effects.  The Lida Daidaihua Slimming Capsules are also designed to speed up the metabolism and help users lose more weight.

Do Lida Daidaihua Capsules Work?

If it were possible, every one of us would like to take a pill that drops our weight for us.  Unfortunately, reality says that even the best diet supplements should be accompanied by diet and exercise.  Nowhere does Lida Daidaihua Slimming Capsules recommend a balanced diet and regular exercise.

Customer reviews are both positive and negative with regards to the results experienced while using Lida Daidaihua.

Are Lida Daidaihua Capsules Safe?

Another one of the big seling points found on the Lida Daidaihua site is that it has no proven side effect.  Is this true?  If you go on to read a little more closely you will find a warning that if not taken with enough water, the user could become weak and/or dizzy.

Why is Lida Daidaihua Capsuels so Expensive?

To buy a one-month supply you will pay at least $50.00.  That is quite a bit above the average price you should be paying for a weight loss supplement.

Lida Daidaihua Capsule Pros

Works to speed up metabolism
Ingredients are natural

Lida Daidaihua Capsule Cons

Lacks proven weight-loss ingredients
Blood pressure issues
Expensinve

Lida Daidaihua Conclusion

Thanks to modern advances in science we don’t have to depend solely on ancient practices and herbs.  We can learn from the past and create a better future.  Keep reading to find the greatest new products whih have been top rated by consumers like you!

Mega T Green Tea

Monday, December 10th, 2007

mega-t1.jpg

Mega T Green Tea

Mega T Green Tea is a product made by CCA Industries.  From the main site, the company states: “We believe, over a period of time, you can lose up to 20 lbs…”  All of this is possible if you follow their exercise and diet plan.  I don’t know if I’m stating the obvious, but I’m pretty sure over “a period of time” just about anything “can” happen.  Do you even need this supplement to help with that?

Does Mega T Green Tea work?

This supplement contains only one ingredient. You guessed it - Green Tea.  Green tea is a fantastic ingredient and is rich in antioxidants and is widely used to help people burn fat.  I have no problem with green tea, but this product is nothing unique.

Mega T Green Tea Price

This stuff can be bought for as cheap as $16 a bottle, but there is really nothing in this product to make it even that expensive.  Green tea is great and all, but it is also very cheap.

Mega T Pros

  • Contains green tea!

Mega T Cons

  • Contains only green tea and is therefore…
  • Over-priced

Mega T Green Tea Conclusion

I am all for green tea supplements, but this is a little ridiculous to try and charge this much for just green tea. I do not recommend Mega T Green Tea.

Lipo 6

Lipo 6, Lipo6

What is Lipo 6?

Lipo 6 is a weight loss supplement claimin (you guessed it) six active ingredients to help aid in weight loss. While one customer reported that everything they ate tasted like chicken once they began supplementing with Lipo 6, we’ll try and research a little bit further than that.

Lipo 6 Active Ingredients

  • Synephrine HCI
  • Guggelsterones
  • Yohimbe HCL
  • Caffeine Anhydrous USP
  • Bioperine

Lipo 6 Marketing Gizmos

It’s apparent that the Lipo 6 targeted market is bodybuilders. We couldn’t help but laugh when we saw that Lipo 6 boasts about having a liquid capsule. It’s common knowledge that the whole liquid capsule/powder capsule debate is a moot point. The difference in rate of absorption is so miniscule that no human could ever notice a difference. Yet we see it constantly pulled out of the marketing bag as a pretty reliable trick. They take a poor product and highlight “superior” facts about it that actually aren’t superior at all.

We also love how they show pictures of very lean individuals and then point out their “tight buttocks” or “thin waistline.” We are not denying that these images show these things. We just find it obviously misleading. With these photos, the marketer is inferring that Lipo 6 will specifically target these areas. This is simply not true.

Is Lipo 6 a Top-Rated Product?

Well, it is by its biggest retailer. We’ll let you decide if that presents any sort of conflict of interest.

Lipo 6 Overall Conclusion

While the formulation isn’t terrible, their marketing is. With that in mind, we cannot recommend Lipo 6 in good conscience. If you do find something in Lipo 6 that appeals to you, we recommend you don’t purchase it from mainstream suppliers as their prices are much higher. We’ve found prices on eBay for as little as $10 per bottle. Amazon’sprice is about twice that, and they only go up from there online.

FucoThin

FucoThin Diet Pill

FucoThin Review

What is FucoThin?

FucoThin is a fat burner. The main ingredient in FucoThin is called Fucoxanthin. Fucoxanthin is a coumpound found in several different types of seaweed and is similar to lutein and lycopene.

How does FucoThin Work?

FucoThin claims it creates a thermogenic effect without stimulating the central nervous system (which can be problematic for some people). By not stimulating the central nervous system fat is burned without an increased heart rate.

FucoThin Ingredients

The ingredients in FucoThin comprise a proprietary blend (meaning the daily values are not established). The 200 milligrams of Proprietary FucoThin Blend is composed of Brown Seaweed Concentrate, Pomegranite Seed Oil, Gelatin, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Glycerin, and Purified Water.

What does FucoThin Cost?

Unlike many other fat burners being sold, FucoThin is only available from stores. If there happens to be a store near you that sells FucoThin you are going to be paying around $34.95 for 90 soft gel capsules.

FucoThin Pros

  • Contains no jitter-causing stimulants

FucoThin Cons

  • Only available for in-store purchase
  • Ingredients are not widely used
  • A little highly priced

FucoThin Conclusion

FucoThin sure throws out a lot of far-fetched claims and paragraph after paragraph of scientific research but where are the hard core results? It is not until a unique take on weight loss through the use of abstract ingredients is tried and tested that a proper recommendation can be made.

Anatrim

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

AnatrimWhat is Anatrim?

Anatrim is another Hoodia Gordonii weight loss pill. Hoodia is a good appetite suppressant. Anatrim has gotten a lot of flack because it is marketed via spam emails. I have gotten a ton of spam emails about Anatrim, really it is just a junk pill that contains the ingredient hoodia gordoniilike thousands of other products. This product is lacking potency and the correct ratio of hoodia. This makes it an unreliable supplement.

How Much is Anatrim?

Anatrims retail value is $75. That is unbelievably expensive for a hoodia diet supplement.

Anatrim Conclusion

Anatrim is a way over priced hoodia supplement. Also there is no money back guarantee and it contains no clinically proven ingredients.

A one month supply retails for $74.99 and is only available at their website - but that is still way too much to pay for what you get with this product.

Take a look below at our top rated fat burners. Many of these fat burners use clinically proven, real world proven, and patented ingredients that have been shown to be safe and extremely effective at helping users lose a lot of weight in a short time period without the need to break your piggy bank.

Cravex

Saturday, December 8th, 2007

What is Cravex?

Cravex Appetite Suppressant

Cravex is an appetite suppressant supplement from the company Natrol. Natrol claims that Cravex is “scientifically formulated to help reduce appetite and control cravings.”

Cravex’s formulation of ingredients is pretty generic and outdated. The main ingredients in Cravex are Citrimax and Green Tea. There is a scientifically advanced version of Citrimax available, called Super CitriMax. I wonder why they don’t use it in Cravex? My guess is price.

Positives

- Contains CitriMax

- Contains Green Tea

Negatives

-Contains CitriMax - Not Super CitriMax

- Uses  poor appetite suppressant

- Offers No Satisfaction Guarantee

Customer Feedback

“I didn’t notice any positive changes at all. I think it made me even more hungy than I already was.”

“Found myself hungrier taking the product. Did nothing for my hair & nails either after one month.”

The Bottom Line

Cravex does contain 2 good ingredients, but that doesn’t mean it is an amazing fat burner or will help you lose any weight. Cravex is lacking potency of ingredients which makes it a below average weight loss supplement.

Our research shows the best price is on eBay for $10-$30 or Amazon for $10-$30 - but that is still way too much to pay for what you get with this product.

Take a look below at our best fat burners. Many of these weight loss supplements use clinically proven, real world proven, and patented ingredients that have been shown to be safe and extremely effective at helping users lose a lot of weight in a short time period without busting the bank.

Diet Ripped

Diet Ripped Review

Diet Ripped Review

What is Diet Ripped?

Diet Ripped is a product designed for the body builder. You may think of yourself as a body builder until you witness a body building competition – they are way out of mine and your league. If you happen to be one of those body builders and are reading this review – you most likely already know what supplements work best for you.

Is Diet Ripped for You?

In addition to body building benefits Diet Ripped also claims to diminish appetite, cut cravings, increase metabolism, increase energy levels, and increase the amount of calories burned. Wow – sounds pretty amazing doesn’t it?

Does Diet Ripped Work?

When a product offers to do so many great things it tends to include a lot of effective ingredients at ineffective amounts – thus rendering it ineffective.

Diet Ripped contains Glucomannan, Gymnema Sylvestre, Grape Seed Extract, Green Tea Extract, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Vitamin B6.

It is hard to believe that so many benefits come from such a short list of ingredients.

Are the Diet Ripped Ingredients Effective?

Diet Ripped does contain affective ingredients such as Green Tea, but since they are in a Proprietary Blend where the daily value is not established it is hard to tell if you are getting enough.

Diet Ripped Pros

Designed for extreme bodybuilders

Diet Ripped Cons

Amounts of ingredients are hidden in a proprietary blend

The price of $24.95 is too much to pay for what you’re getting

Diet Ripped Conclusion

If you are a body builder you will already know if Diet Ripped has the ingredients you need to compete. On the other hand, if you just want to lose weight keep reading to find what products will work best for you!
