Zymelt

Can Zymelt Help You Lose Weight?

Zymelt is a weight loss supplement that claims to “help achieve your weight loss goals.” Let’s take a closer look at Zymelt and see if its claims are valid.

Zymelt Ingredients

Zymelt is full of sub-average ingredients besides two, green tea and forslean. Green tea is not only great for overall health but can help with weight loss as well. Not all blends of green tea are the same however. The key is to look at the amount of EGCG’s (active ingredients in green tea) in the tea. If it is low, you are getting some cheap green tea that won’t do a lot for you.

Unfortunately Zymelt’s green tea only contains 90 mg. This probably isn’t enough to get the full effects of green tea.

Forslean has been proven to help you lose weight but maintain muscle.  This not only is good for our figure but also helps us keep off the pounds we have lost.

What is missing in Zymelt is an effective fat burner.

Side Effects of Zymelt

Users of Zymelt have complained of these side effects among others: insomnia, anxiety, headaches, and the jitters.

Price of Zymelt

Zymelt can be found for $40 online. This is expensive for a weight loss supplement with a cheap green tea blend and no appetite suppressant.

Zymelt Pros

  • Contains Forslean
  • Contains Green Tea

Zymelt Cons

  • No Appetite Suppressant
  • Cheap Green Tea
  • Expensive
  • Few Proven Ingredients
  • Possible Side Effects

Zymelt Conclusion

Although Zymelt contains a few proven ingredients, it doesn’t contain enough of them to live up to its claims. We do not recommend Zymelt.

Zotrim Review

Zotrim

Does Zotrim Work?

Zotrim is a weight loss supplement from the U.K. Zotrim claims to be a “natural aid to lasting weight loss with scientific proof. ” Although that sounds good we have heard such claims before. Let’s take a closer look at Zotrim.

Zotrim Ingredients

Zotrim is comprised of three main ingredients, yerba mate, guarana, and damiana. Each is very common among weight loss supplements. Scientific research on each of the ingredients is mixed.

What are missing from the Zotrim ingredient mix is both an appetite suppressant and a proven fat burner.

Is Zotrim Backed by Science?

Although it is a encouraging for a weight loss supplement company to actually post scientific study results, the results aren’t extraordinary. The average user lost four pounds on Zotrim. Most of us are looking to lose more than four pounds.

Price of Zotrim

Zotrim can be found for $40. This is very expensive for a weight loss supplement without a proven fat burner or effective appetite suppressant.

Side Effects of Zotrim

There are no known side effects associated with Zotrim.

Zotrim Pros

  • Contains Natural Ingredients
  • No Known Side Effects

Zotrim Cons

  • No proven fat burners
  • No appetite suppressants
  • Expensive

Zotrim Conclusion

Although Zotrim isn’t the worst weight loss supplement out there, it is far from the best. Because of the high price and lackluster results, we don’t recommend Zotrim.

Smartburn

Can Smartburn Help You Lose Weight?

Smartburn is a weight loss supplement directed specifically for women. It claims that by taking Smartburn, you will be able to to lose 450% the weight than just exercise and dieting alone. You know what they say about things that seem too good to be true. It usually is. Let’s take a closer look at Smartburn

Smartburn’s Claims

If you read the Smartburn website you’ll notice there are a lot of claims “based on clinical studies.” If you follow the asteriks to the fine print you’ll notice their claims aren’t as impressive.

Ingredients in Smartburn

The ingredient mix in Smartburn is fairly common for a weight loss supplement. Not a lot is new. Although it is marketed as designed for women we were unable to find anything from the ingredients that would lead us to believe that.

An ingredient that we like in Smartburn is Green Tea. Green Tea is a great supplement. It’s a powerful antioxidant, appetite suppressant and stimulant all wrapped up in one.

The important part of green tea is the amount of EGCG (the active ingredient in green tea). Unfortunately, Smartburn doesn’t disclose the amount of EGCG in their green tea.

No Satisfaction or Money Back Guarantees

With Smartburn there are no satisfaction or money back guarantees. This shows a lack of confidence of the manufacturers with their product.

Smartburn Pros

  • Contains Green Tea

Smartburn Cons

  • Doesn’t Contain Any Effective Fat Burners
  • Deceptive Marketing
  • No Money Back Guarantees
  • Numerous Negative Customer Reviews

Smartburn Conclusion

Besides the fact that it contains Green Tea, we don’t have a lot of positive things to say about Smartburn.

Slim Seduction Review

Slim Seduction

Slim Seduction is one of a popular generation of weight-loss/sex-drive enhancement products for women.  It is marketed seductively as the key to more sex and less weight complete with a bikini-clad woman on the bottle.

First, what evidence is there that this pill will improve your sex life?  The company offers very little other than the suggestion that losing weight will make you fitter and more willing and able to get it on.  There is no science behind this claim and this makes me instantly skeptical about Slim Seduction.

As for what we are really here for - weight loss - Slim Seduction includes some promising ingredients such as Bitter Orange extract, Guggul, and Green Tea.  Bitter orange is known to be effective as it is a source of synephrine (similar in effect to ephedra) and guggul stimulates thyroid hormones which increases your metabolic rate and helps you burn more calories.  In general, these and the other included ingredients are included in small or unclear concentrations, making this product to be only marginally effective as a weight-loss supplement.

Pros

  • Includes synephrine
  • Sexy bottle cover

Cons

  • Ridulous claims
  • Low concentrations of active ingredients.

Conclusion

Aside from the “seductive” marketing and silly promises of a better sex life, Slim Seduction offers very little for its price of $40.  The truth is, unless you are willing to do some serious exercise, you will likely not see many results.  I recommend you look elsewhere for a diet supplement.

RapidSlim Review

RapidSlim Review

RapidSlim SX, from Iovate Health, is a heavily marketed diet pill which is available both online and in many stores for about $30 a bottle (which is about a 10-day supply apparently)

Does RapidSlim Work?

RapidSlim, like so many other diet products, makes many bold claims but fails to back them up with legitimate research and fully-disclosed ingredients. The clinical studies cited on the website were done on ingredients included in the product and not on the product itself. Furthermore these studies were done in Africa, which has much different and more lax policies regarding scientific research.

The ingredients that have to do with weight-loss in RapidSlim SX are included in proprietary blends, which makes it impossible to tell whether they are included in potent concentrations. Judging by the overall concentrations (Thermogenic Blend - 426 mg, Weight-Loss Blend - 227 mg) there is no way that all of the ingredients included can help significantly. There are some classic ingredients such as caffeine, green tea, and other tea blends, but it is simply impossible to say whether this product will be effective. In short, I would trust this product as far as I can throw it.

RapidSlim Pros

  • Contains green tea, vitamins
  • Money-back guarantee (less S&H)

RapidSlim Cons

  • Unreliable “clinical” studies
  • Misleading information
  • Expensive

RapidSlim Conclusion

I do not recommend RapidSlim Conclusion. It is unreliable, misleading, and unlikely to make any significant difference.

Phenocerin Review

What is Phenocerin?

Phenocerin is a weight loss formula designed to help users lose weight. It uses some of ‘natures best ingredients to help your body fight excess fat.’ Its two active ingredients are Hoodia Gordonii and Chromium Picolinate.

Does Phenocerin Work?

Chromium Picolinate is a reputable ingredient, but Hoodia Gordonii still needs to prove itself. Furthermore, Hoodia is a very sensitive ingredient meaning that it needs to be taken in the right amounts AND the right hoodia needs to be taken. If a product you are researching does not proudly display their CITES Certificate, you most likely aren’t getting the right hoodia.

Phenocerin Free Trial Warning

Whenever you are not able to purchase straight up a product of your choice – you should know something isn’t right. Many products offer “Free Trials” when in reality the only thing free is your automatic enrollment in automatic delivery. By accepting the free trial you are automatically enrolled to receive (and be billed) continuous additional shipments.

Phenocerin Pros

  • Contains some affective ingredients

Phenocerin Cons

  • Hoodia doesn’t look to be certified
  • “Free Trial” is automatic Enrollment

Phenocerin Conclusion

If you don’t want to be worried about an automatic charge to your credit card then try something other than Phenocerin to help you lose weight.
Additionally, products that include Hoodia could very well be riding the coat tails of a much discussed new ingredient. Make sure you are getting the right Hoodia.

NanoSlim Review

What is NanoSlim?

If you are out of the loop with all the new iPods, the smallest one is called a nano.  Nano means small.  The NanoSlim is a weight loss pill – and a very small one at that.

Does NanoSlim Work?

In order for the body to be assisted in losing weight, the ingredients taken need to be in sufficient enough quantities so that the body knows something is there helping.  NanoSlim takes that notion in a different direction.  Most diet pills out there lack enough of the effective ingredients, and if you make the pill even smaller, the ingredients become fewer as well – definitely not a good thing.

What are the ingredients in NanoSlim?

As small as the ingredients may be, the ingredients in NanoSlim are: Banaba, Cha de Bugre, Green Coffee Extract, and Bladderwrack.  As weird as the names may sound – they do have some legitimacy – but it is hard to know if there is enough.

NanoSlim Pros

Small and easy to swollow pills (see cons)

NanoSlim Cons

Insuficient ingredients
Insuficient ingredient quantites
Too Expensive for what you get

NanoSlim Conclusion

If you are at the point in your routine of healthy eating and regular exercise that you need the additional help of a weight loss supplement – make sure that you are getting something that works.  For a diet pill to work you need to have the right ingredients, and in the right amounts.  NanoSlim is just not able to offer that.

Metabolene Review

Metabolene Review

Metabolene was an extremely over-hyped diet pill that for all the research I have done appears to have been discontinued recently.  Probably because of outrageous claims like “lose 30 pounds in 30 days”.  The FTC usually doesn’t take kindly to false advertising.  After looking a little further, I found that this product was replaced by Metabo Speed XXX, which appears to be another over-hyped and over-priced product.
