Lipitrex, by Progressive Health, claims to help you with your quest for weight-loss in four ways: Appetite Control, Minimize Fat Storage, Boost Metabolism, Increase Energy.
The big question is whether they can back up these claims with the right ingredients in the right concentrations…and also for the right price. Let’s take a look:
Does Lipitrex Work?
For $50 a bottle, I better see some good stuff…
- Pinolenic Acid (240 mg) - This is a fatty acid derived from the Korean pine nut. There is some recent research that shows it as being a fairly effective appetite suppressant.
- Coleus Forskohlii (12 mg of forskolin) - This has been shown to be an effective ingredient that helps to build lean body mass and reduce fat storage.
- Green Tea Extract (100 mg) - Long proven and widely used, Green Tea is a great source of antioxidants and combined with caffeine is an effective metabolic booster.
- Citrus Aurantium (100 mg) - Also known as bitter orange, this is effective for its content of synephrine as a metabolic booster.
- Guarana Extract (standardized for 44 mg of caffeine) - Another stimulant.
- Conjugated linoleic acid CLA (1500 mg) - A fatty acid and antioxidant. Recently under inspection for possible side effect related to heart disease.
Overall, these ingredients back up the claims made by lipitrex, but very weakly. If they were given in higher concentrations, this would be a great product, but with only 44 mg of caffeine and an unclear concentration of synephrine, you are unlikely to get much of a boost in your metabolism. CLA has little application to weight-loss and seems to be only filler here.

Lipitrex Conclusion
Lipitrex has made a good attempt at being a legitimate diet pill. It offers some good ingredients with a fair amount of science behind them. Subsequently, they slap on a premium price of $50 a bottle. This is all well and good…except for the fact that the ingredient concentrations are much too low to make any significant difference. This is a very cheap pill to produce and does not pack the punch it claims for the price it asks. I do not recommend Lipitrex.
